Teaser Tuesday: Searching for the Beaumont Children (August 28)

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.

My inability to read whilst locked into a depressive episode is infamous. Whilst trapped in this mindset the best genre for me to attempt to read is ‘true crime’, inparticular, a book I have read many times over the years as I have been fascinated with the case since the first time I read about it ten years or so ago.

So, today’s Teaser Tuesday, is Searching for the Beaumont Children by Alan J Whiticker.

Anyone can play along with Teaser Tuesdays! Just do the following:

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

“The mere mention of the words ‘the Beaumont children’ brings so many memories of that time flooding back. For those who have come after, and know only the half-truths and the urban myths, there is a yearning to know more – to understand the unimaginable and try to answer questions that may never be ansswered. For over four decades now, we have all been searching for the Beaumont children.”
