(Belated) Sunday Stealing: The basically obscure meme!

Welcome back to Sunday Stealing which originated on WTIT: The Blog authored by Bud Weiser. Here we will steal all types of memes from every corner of the blogosphere.

Today we ripped off a writer named Chloerockchick from the group zetaboards. It is 50 questions we will do it in 2.5 parts,  She does not say who she got it from.  But, it was probably stolen there as well. So, of course, that will be as far as we go. Tracing back our theft’s thieves might take some time.

21: Would you swear in front of your parents

Under normal circumstances I don’t swear in front of my parents, most likely because they would wash my mouth out with soap if I swore in front of them when I was younger.  So I guess this form of punishment worked :p

However, I have been known to utter the odd swear word from time to time. Although in my defense (and to alleviate the possibility of tasting soap) those times were when I was lost to mental health crises.

When I was growing up, your parents could force you to eat soap without being charged with assault. Those were the days :p

22: Which continents have you been on?

North America, Europe, Asia (albeit briefly) and Australasia.

23: Do you get motion sickness? Any horror stories?

Sometimes. Some examples:

a) Whilst on a bus journey from Fredericton to Moncton I threw up in a plastic bag. Nothing too bad about that, aside from the bus stank of my vomit for the rest of the journey. Suffice to say I wasn’t all that popular.

b) In April 2008, on a train ride from Glasgow to Fort William, I had to exit the train mid-way as I had begun to feel incredibly sick and the train’s toilet was out-of-order. I ended up spending three hours sat in the middle of Rannoch Moor waiting for the next train to roll through to complete my journey.

24: Why did you name your blog whatever you named your blog?

C’mon, there are some things in life that need to remain shrouded in mystery.

25: Would you wear a rainbow jacket? A neon yellow sweater? Checkered pants?

I don’t play golf so no, no and no.

26: What was your favorite cartoon growing up? Post a picture if you can.

…pretty fucking awesome guy! Or a beaver.

28: If you had to look at one city skyline for the rest of your life, which would it be?

Inverness.

29: Longest plane ride you’ve ever been on?

June 2009; London to Sydney (via Melbourne).

The flight was supposed to be a simple London to Sydney journey with a stopover in Singapore. However, because of bad weather at Sydney airport the plane had to be rerouted to Melbourne. This wouldn’t have been so bad, but:

a) The plane was only meters from the Sydney runway when it pulled up sharply and began the hour-ish flight to Melbourne (which after twenty-four odd hours on the plane was a massive frustration!)

b) After landing in Melbourne we were inexplicably kept sitting on the tarmac for nearly three hours.

Thus, the total length of time I was trapped on that plane was close to thirty hours.

30: The longest you’ve ever slept?

Since the breakdown (2007) my longest sleep has been approximately six hours.

Since my birth? Probably ten hours, when I was a cranky teenager.

31: Would you buy a sweater covered in kitten pictures? Would you wear it if someone gave it you for free?

I would never in a million years buy a sweater covered in kitten pictures for myself or anyone.

Under normal circumstances I would never even consider wearing such a garment even if it was given to me for free. However, I am a man, so if say Karen Gillan or [insert beautiful woman of choice] gifted me such a sweater and promised me a hug or [insert intimate gesture of choice] if I were to wear it, I probably would :p

32: Do you pluck your eyebrows?

I have one hair in my left eyebrow that grows at an inordinate rate. After a couple of weeks it’s length is close to an inch or two so I do pluck this particular hair because it just looks weird. Other than that, no, I don’t pluck my eyebrows.

33: Favorite kind of bean? Kidney? Black? Pinto?

Green beans. Mmmmm, yummy :p

34: How far can you throw a baseball?

I have absolutely no idea for I have never thrown a baseball in my life. Damn these US-centric questions!

35: If you had to move to another country, where would you move?

Canada.

36: Have you ever eaten Ethiopian food? Vietnamese? Korean? Nepalese? How was it?

Ethiopian, Korean, Nepalese…no. Vietnamese, yes. It wasn’t too bad, but I prefer Thai.

37: How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

I hate this question with an intense and fiery passion. It was funny once, but that once was approximately seventeen and a half decades ago. It’s time to relegate this to the sands of time.
