As I said last week, I’m not much of an artist. No matter how much I’d like to be able to paint, draw or etch inspiring landscapes and photo-realistic portraits, I struggle with anything that isn’t part of the ‘stick man’ oeuvre.
However, even though I’m not all that good at it, I do enjoy the therapeutic qualities of drawing and painting; hence the inspiration for the weekly “art therapy” series. Each and every Sunday I’ll be sharing an artistic prompt and my interpretation of it…and I’d love it if you joined in with me!
The picture can be whatever genre you want (abstract, impressionist, collage etc.) in whatever medium you desire (pencil, oil painting, computer generated, crayon etc.) as long as it (a) reflects the week’s prompt, (b) is your own work and (c) is something you’ve had a little fun creating. Remember this is art therapy not art mastery! :)
This week the prompt is: strengths and values, and I decided to shine a focus on two that I hold dear to my heart.
