All that I am, all that I ever was…

Memory 04: Tangerine

TangerineOf all the sporadic, random topics of conversation that was discussed during the twenty-four hours I spent with Samantha, it was her pronunciation of the word “tangerine” that caused the most giggling, teasing and playful tantrums.

Unlike everyone else I’ve ever met, Samantha pronounced this word TANG-erine. Apparently she had started saying it like this when she was but a wee bairn and, even though people had laughed at her throughout her entire life, nothing she had tried had changed her pronunciation of this delicious fruit.

Not that I’d have had it any other way, for like many things, it just made Sammi all the more unique.
