Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.

Anyone can play along with Teaser Tuesdays! Just do the following:

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• Be careful not to include spoilers!
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

The Ossians
by Doug Johnstone

The Ossians

(Yeah…I know that’s more than two sentences, but I used to live near Aberdeen and I really liked this description of the city! :p)

So, what’s everyone else reading at the moment? Go on, give us a tease…

  3. This is brilliant! Definitely going on my ‘to read’ list. I live in Edinburgh, so I’m intrigued!
I wrote my first ever teaser post today http://cupandchaucer.wordpress.com/2013/08/20/teaser-tuesday-august-20/

    • Glad you enjoyed the teaser. I read Doug Johnstone’s first novel (Tombstoning) a while ago and thouroughly enjoyed it, so am happy to say I’m enjoying ‘The Ossians’ even more. A wonderful, if little known, Scottish author.

I do miss Edinburgh, although I’ve never lived there, I have visited it many times over the years and am quite fond of the old place! :)
