This week’s photo challenge is geometry.
For a long time I’ve had a habit of taking one ‘snapshot’ of a major landmark followed by several dozen abstracts of the same subject. I do this not because I want to render the famous building unrecognisable, but because I love the shapes and rhythms of our world.
I will leave it to you to identify what famous Australian landmark this is, there’s no fun in just telling you :)
“Everything one invents is true, you may be perfectly sure of that. Poetry is as precise as geometry.”
~ Gustave Flaubert ~

Great picture! i was thinking about doing this challenge but I don’t have the eye for photography (and yes, I know that doesn’t matter).

Fabulous interpretation of this week’s challenge … the colour, light and form certainly do emphasize the geometry!

Stunning, component parts rendered in geometric shape. Like to take a stab at it being a lighthouse? No idea of it ‘s location …. Coff’s harbour?

Thanks for your kind comment. It is a lighthouse; Cape Otway, along the Great Ocean Road to be exact :)

Byron Bay Light house .. that was my first thought! Thanks for stopping by Melonpopzdropz Blog experience.. I too seem to be writing and photographing from a similar perspective. Reading the title of your blog brought a smile to my face as I remember the title of my own .. BIG love and great shots!

You’re right in it being a lighthouse, but it’s not Byron Bay as I’ve yet to go there. This is the lesser known Cape Otway Lighthouse near the Otway Rainforest along the Great Ocean Road. Perhaps one day I’ll make it to Byron Bay and take a few images of that lighthouse too :)
